Our church boy's club had their annual end of the year camp out Friday night, Henry, Jack and I had a great time. Thanks to several friends I finally got the tent set up. Melanie could have had it done in about 15 minutes. It took me much longer than that. The food was great, thanks Ed and Chad, and it was some really good guy time. The weather was nice and cool, perfect for a campfire. Henry thought it would be great if we could have stayed another night. I was really glad to be back in my bed last night. This week I noticed the neighbor boy out on his driveway looking towards our house, just waiting for our boys to come outside. It hit me that our boys never have that feeling. they always have someone to play with. At the camp out a friend of mine commented on how even with all the boys to play with, my boys still play with each other while playing in a group. Our boys share a room and we stress that when they play they play together, nobody gets left out. Our goal is that they won't just be brothers, but close friends all of their life. Sometimes it doesn't look that way, but this week we got to see a few glimpses of our goal.
Today was Jack's last soccer game for the spring with his new friends; Ethan, Joshua, Christopher, Conner and Jalen. It has been a really good spring. Jack has learned, so much and his love of soccer continues to grow. Thanks coach Joey for all your hard work.
