God's Perfect Timing

October 2012 a friend gave us a name and number of someone she thought would be able to help us with our adoption process.  We didn't know what to do.  We prayed and after about a month we dialed the number.   Right away the roller coaster began!  They said their typical wait time for families interested in adopting siblings was 3 months.  The next day they said they had a number of sibling sets available with no family's to match them with.  It didn't take long for us to decide to start the process with this new agency.   They kept saying "this is going to go very quickly!"  It did for awhile.  I think we had our new dossier done in about 2 weeks (it took us 6 months to put together the first one).  It seemed to all be falling into place.  Then right before Christmas we were informed that our home study needed to be updated again.  We had a home study that was not expired and it didn't make sense why we needed to get it redone.  After many attempts to change their mind we started on the updated home study.  This meant a new background check which can take anywhere from 2 to 3 months to come back.  It took 3 months.  These set backs reminded me that God knows the whole picture and it's all happening the way it is for a reason.  I'm choosing to be thankful for all He has done and continues to do during this process.

  1. We are SO thankful that your friend gave you that advice AND that you called the agency when you did! Be sure to tell your friend that God has used them to bring FOUR orphans HOME to their new family!
