Boy's club campout

It's hard to believe I am posting about the boy's club campout again.  Where did the year go?  Thanks to Mr. Kelly and Mr. Jeff it was another great year of boy's club  With the boy's help I was able to get the tent setup in a fairly short amount of time.  Although I did cut a few corners.  Last year it was windy and cold, this year it was hot and humid.  This year all three of the boy's are in boy's club, so Melanie had a night to herself.
Friday night they had a passing of the torch from the 5th grade boys to the 4th grade boys.  The picture didn't turn out very good.  Henry will be one of the leaders next year, although with our church multiplying in the fall we are not sure what boy's club will look like.
The boy's had a great time with their friends.  How can you not have fun with marshmallow gun wars, staying up late, eating lots of great food (thanks Chad and Ed) and running around in a field playing sports.

Like so many things this year, in the midst of the fun, there was sadness.  This was the last boy's club camp out, in this form anyway.  We know it will be good, because it's part of God's plan, but growth always involves some pain.  Next year with two churches and two boy's clubs, there will be room for more boy's to learn about God and build friendships.  How can that not be good.
Brent.
